When day broke the morning of the Kaikoura Earthquake, I started making pictures. It was an instinctive reaction, I wanted to make a record of the things I saw and the people I interacted with as we worked through this situation. There was a story to be told and the people who know and love Kaikoura would want to know what was happening.

Remembering Kaikoura Earthquake is a day by day recount of the month following the quake and is packed full of pictures selected from the thousands I made.

Five years on, this book reminds us of those difficult days and we can now appreciate how far we have come.
