What’s the heck’s this Kaikoura Kwik Pic thing all about

Good question!
It’s one of those things I’ve been going to do for a long time. Find an image each day during my travels and post it on the internet for all to enjoy or criticise or comment on or whatever. I haven’t set myself any rules about subject matter or anything, it’s all totally random which will be part of the fun and very interesting to see what direction my photography heads off in.
Also I now have a website that is quick and simple to do this project on.
What if I’m not in Kaikoura
I don’t know really. I guess if I can access the internet I can carry on as usual, if I can’t I suppose I will have homework when I get back to my workshop. An image will still be made but may not be posted every day if it isn’t geographically possible.
And I guess if I’m not in Kaikoura the images won’t technically be Kaikoura Kwik Pics, they’ll just be Kwik Pics!
Why not flickr or one of those services
No, not for me thanks, the copyright policy of some of these sites is a bit dodgy for me. If all my images are hosted on my site and visitors are using the site under the Terms Of Use it’s obvious any asphoto images floating around the internet have been flogged from here, don’t get caught doing that, cause the friend of a friend is a …..
Why ‘Kaikoura Kwik Pic’
Not sure where this came from either! It started out as Quick Pic, the idea being that it is part of my day and quick to do but the name wasn’t quirky enough. Kaikoura and Kwik seemed to work together so there we go.
So enjoy it…
