We’re organised this year and have 2009 desk calendars all ready for shipping to overseas family and friends.
These calendars are always popular, great when you’re travelling, easy to post away to folks who live far away, or just a nice reminder of your trip to Kaikoura.
Calendars are 16 cm X 10.5 cm with a new image each month. Calendar flips open for desktop display or you can keep it shut with your month displayed when you’re travelling.
For 2009 we have three great flavors; Scenes – the ever popular scenery model. Seabirds – features some of our common local and visitor birds including the great Albatrosses. Seals – a new flavour which features the characters of the ocean, this calendar is an arty black and white and captures some great seal expressions.
You won’t see these calendars in the shops, they are exclusive items you will only get here or at the gallery in the Kaikoura West End (Wings over Whales booking centre).
We sell a lot of these all around the world to people who love Kaikoura.
Check out the calendars on this page. Guess we’re pretty well in to ’09 now! Enjoy the images.
The guys live in Auckland and came to our town to enjoy our beautiful scenery and balmy winter days while celebrating their wedding with family and friends. Well that didn’t quite happen, we woke up to snow showers and sub Antarctic wind chill. It didn’t dampen spirits one bit, these guys were here to enjoy themselves and so they did.
Getting ready at Waves and the White Morph, every one looked stunning as we headed off to Hapuku Lodge for the celebration. Hapuku Lodge is class plus and I love making photos there, beautiful detail indoors and some really funky things happening outdoors with architecture, garden art and plants.
We couldn’t stop the Bride from heading outside once she became a wife, she had to have images of herself and her man with the dramatic snow, sky and sea as a stage for their day. It was great, the bride was tough and we didn’t even notice the goose bumps after a while. She kept commenting on how warm us blokes must be with our jackets on though?
Thanks guys, you were beautiful and I had the best time, and the best to you both for your lives together.
We’re in the depths of winter, there’s snow on every peak in sight, the ocean is angry after a big storm and the sky is grey and bleak. The cold southerly wind doesn’t bother going around you but chills you to the bone. A walk around the Kaikoura peninsula is spectacular …. got to love it.
