I realise it’s been a bit quiet here lately but I assure you I’ve been doing productive things. It’s been hot and dry here all summer but I haven’t been at the beach too much.
Website building
asphoto.co.nz has been a shambles for a while as I’ve been tinkering with a new site, it’s all starting to take shape now but there has been a few late nights on the way. Guess there will be a few more to come as we set into the image library in the shop dept. I’m amazed at what you can do with WordPress these days, a credit to all the hard working coders of WordPress and the plugins that make it easy to expand WordPress.
Weddings and portraits
I’ve had some satisfying photo shoots this Summer, fun weddings, portraits and did some work with a great model.
Here’s a recent wedding for you to enjoy, and to prove I haven’t been totally idle!
We’re about good to go live with this site rebuild I reckon, still a few tweaks to do but the nuts and bolts are in the right places.
This is how we plan to run asphoto.co.nz from now;
Private proof galleries
All proof galleries will be private. When your gallery is ready it will be protected with the password you requested or one we supply, you will be sent a direct link to the gallery or you can enter the gallery through the main site proofing entry. You supply the password to the people who you want to view the gallery.
Stock images and prints
These will be avaliable in the new shop, there is still some work to do here but we have a brand new shop facility with a powerful search engine and self service features. We plan to provide the best images of everything Kaikoura as prints and image files. Image files can be downloaded as soon as payment is cleared for your instant gratification and project use.
Event images
Event images will now be put in the new shop for public viewing and purchase.

A wedding in a movie cinema, well how cool can that be!
You don’t have to worry about the weather for starters, indoor seating for everyone, plenty of popcorn to go round and the Mayfair Theatre on the Esplanade at Kaikoura makes a serious Art Deco fashion statement.
